Admission & Entrance
Applicants who have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 45% in mathematics/physics/IT subjects are eligible. Minimum age is 16 years.
The PUSAT Entrance Test is a written computer‑based exam covering mathematics, logical reasoning, and basic programming. Hall tickets are emailed after registration.
Annual tuition for BCA/BIT is NPR 150,000 plus a one‑time enrollment fee of NPR 5,000, payable in two installments per semester.
Merit‑based scholarships covering up to 50% of tuition are awarded to the top 10% of applicants based on entrance scores and academic record.
Application opens 1 May, entrance exam 15 June, results 30 June, admission confirmation 10 July, semester starts 1 August.
Programs
BCA focuses on software development and programming fundamentals, while BIT emphasizes networking, hardware, and system administration.
Graduates work as software developers, network engineers, system administrators, UI/UX designers, and data analysts in Nepal’s growing IT sector.
Undergraduate programs (BCA-IT, BIT, B.Tech in AI) are four years (eight semesters). MCA-IT and PGDCA-IT are two‑year postgraduate courses.
PUSAT is officially affiliated with Purbanchal University, and all curricula follow the university’s academic regulations.
Academic Life
Mid‑term exams are held in the 4th semester and final exams in the 8th semester, both conducted on campus with strict attendance policies.
Students must maintain at least 75% attendance in each subject to be eligible for exams.
Grades are based on 40% assignments, 30% mid‑term, and 30% final exam, following the university’s grading scale.
